In our efforts to continue our dedication to promote community pride and awareness of the towns historical and natural resources, enhancing its environment through preservation and beautification, we need your help.
Your membership dues are critical to the financial support of our projects and administration of the organization. We are hopeful that you will take the time today to fill out the membership application as well as continue to support the PPA by submitting a minimum membership donation of $30.
Your membership this year will help support many programs that help us continue to educate the community on our towns rich history. Specifically, we hope to host events such as Heritage Day (May 15, 2010) as well as strengthen other exciting programs such as our historic walking tours, the historic plaque program, an historic homes tour and so much more!
In recent years, the PPA has really made a name for itself in the town thanks to you. Our annual Heritage Day in the Park (the third Sat in May) has proved a huge success in that we succeed each year in educating the community on the rich history of western Loudoun through displays, exhibits, activities, walking tours, entertainment and a special oral history of townspeople sharing their intimate memories of yesteryear. At the end of the day, and by popular demand, we featured our popular Oldetimers Roundtable, wrapping up a full day of education, fun and tradition.
Furthermore, now that the White House has designated Purcellville as a Preserve America Community, it is even more essential that we strengthen our organization in order to provide the needed support and leadership that the Town has come to depend on from the PPA. We will need your help to do this!
